About Dharma Handicrafts

We are Soujanya and Raunak, a married couple with a deep desire to travel, explore, and experience our magnificent world. We enjoy all cultures, cuisines, and traditions while immersing ourselves in learning the various mysteries surrounding these elements.

During our travels, we noticed our Hindu culture was misrepresented with false, cheap and vaguely designed sculptures being manufactured in Chinese factories. We started Dharma Handicrafts to change this.

Dharma Handicrafts was born to give access to people looking for authentic, hand-crafted sculptors from India that can be passed on from one generation to the next.

A skillful artisan’s work can last generations and our country’s monuments, arts, history, and culture are a testament to their work. However, due to illiteracy, lack of digital knowledge, competitive prices, and lack of demand our artisans are moving away from Artisan jobs.

Since 1990, India has lost nearly 33% of its artisans as per The Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) and Covid-19 accelerated that decline further.

Dharma Handicrafts was conceptualised to extend a helping hand to our artisans and gradually improve, and promote Indian Artisans to the world. One sculpture at a time.

Our artisans hail from a small town in the North of India and your love helps run the many families. We aim to allocate 50% of our profits to give back to our artisan community in the form of building schools, toilets, and other basic needs.

We take great pride in starting our small journey and hope our sculptors bring you immense joy, happiness, and wealth.
